Child Support Guidelines Advisory Committee

The committee reviews child support guidelines to ensure that money mothers and fathers pay is equitable for the parents and appropriate for the day-to-day essential needs of the children they support.

Purpose

The Supreme Court appoints an advisory committee to review and updated child support guidelines every four years. The committee includes parents who either pay or receive child support, tax professionals with expertise in child support, attorneys, and judges. An economist helps with the review.

All Child Support Guidelines Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public. Meetings are held in the Kansas Judicial Center in Topeka unless indicated otherwise. Upcoming meetings are listed on this page, and they are subject to cancellation. The advisory committee posts approved meeting minutes as available.
