Kansas courts affected by global technology issue

UPDATE:  Kansas Supreme Court temporarily suspends four-hour processing requirement

By close of business Friday, July 19, Kansas courts had restored services impacted by the global technology issue.
_____

Kansas courts are impacted by the global technology issue affecting Microsoft systems.

Courts are open and operating, but some electronic processes have switched to paper.

The global issue has affected the Kansas courts network that supports the Kansas eCourt case management system for district and appellate courts.

The Kansas Courts Electronic Filing system works, but we recommend paper filings for matters that require urgent processing.

Access to case information through the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal is affected by this issue. Case information cannot be searched until access through our network is restored.

The Kansas Protection Order Portal is offline while we restore our network; please visit a district court to file a petition for a protection order.

Courts are unable to accept electronic payments and will issue paper receipts for payments made by cash, check, or money order.

We are working as quickly as possible to apply a solution locally. Check back here for updates.
